Zirconium most People associate the metal Zirconium with the diamond simulant gem Cubic Zirconium. In fact Cubic Zirconium is an oxidized silicate derivative of the metal. Obtaining pure Zirconium is very difficult. The grey white shiny metal resembles Titanium but is heavier resembling precious metals in its weight and feel. Zirconium is also a hypo-allergenic metal which is corrosion resistant like titanium. In jewellery the metal comes in its natural silver colour or in a black colour similar to onyx which can be matt or shiny in appearance.
