Ogham Jewellery

Ogham is a mystery a puzzle that we are unable to unravel because its origins are unknown. Being a Scottish jewellery store called Ogham Jewellery we are facinated by all the wonderful stories about Ogham. Some websites have Ogham as a Celtic language from Ireland brought over to Scotland others that it is Phoenician, Syrian or from one of the countries that contain all the trees that make up its alphabet. But don't believe any of that rubbish Its as Scottish as a haggis buttie (bread roll with haggis). If the stuff came from Ireland it would have been more prevalent on the West Coast of Scotland. Second why is it only found on the edge of a rock etc in Ireland and full on the face of rock with peoples names in Scotland. Ogham has also been found in the USA possibly proving a historic Atlantic crossing by Scottish explorers before Columbus.

My own theory is they are all guessing Ogham is a magical language of trees used to create blessing brooches, rings, earrings, pendants and bracelets. This unique range of designer jewellery handmade in Scotland inspired by an ancient Whorl Stone containing the text "a blessing on the soul". Is a Scottish love charm imbued with the romance of the Scottish Highlands and the spirit of the ancient trees that live there. Each piece of jewellery contains a hidden text which reads "a blessing on the soul" in Ogham. Don't forget to look at our other Scottish jewellery just click the back button below
